NEW FEATURES
1. Added code to test the database for missing images and sounds.
At the Home Panel , select Goto from the Navigate menu or use Command-G
to bring up the Goto window.
Instead of entering a record number, you can enter a command line with the
keyword "TESTER".
TESTER takes two optional additional parmaters,
starting record number(0)
and
special 0 = print only errors
1 = print titles and errors
2 = print titles, photos and images , and errors
eg.: tester 1345 1
tester
tester 0 0
tester 0 2
This first example will till MacFindit to test records starting at record # 1345
and print their titles and any errors to a disk file. The last example prints out
all the record titles, image and audio file names and titles and any errors found.
If a starting number is greater than the number of records in the database
than no records will be checked.
The values are written to a file in the same folder as the MacFindit application. You can't run this test when the program is on the CD-ROM. You must copy the MacFindit folder to your harddrive before you can use it.
